If you’re a DroidRant reader, you know that we love our phones. But sometimes, things go wrong. Sometimes our phones break and we have to replace them. And sometimes, when we do that, we find out something really strange about our devices. For example, one of our readers had a DroidRant account that was suspended for using an incorrect phone number. Another reader had to replace their Droid after it started making weird noises and wouldn’t turn on. And another reader’s Droid was so old and slow that it couldn’t even make calls anymore. We know that there are some things you need to know if you’re ever faced with a timeout error on your DroidRant account or if your phone starts making weird noises or doesn’t work at all. Here are some tips:
- Make sure your phone is connected to the internet and your computer. If you can’t connect to the internet or your computer, try resetting your phone or checking for updates (if applicable).
- Try different numbers until you find the one that works for you. If you can’t find the number that works for you, try calling customer service or visiting a store where they sell DroidRants (we’ve found some great places in major cities). They may be able to help fix whatever problem is causing the timeout error!
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help from other readers who have experience with timeouts on their devices! We want everyone to be able to enjoy their phones just as much as we do!

Here are some tips:
- Make sure your phone is charged up and unlocked before trying to use it again. If your phone is locked or has a password protection feature, you may have to enter it in again in order to try using your account again.
- If you can’t use your account because of a timeout error, make sure you try resetting your device or restoring it from backup (if there is one). Resetting can fix any issues that may have occurred while the account was down for maintenance or during the time period when the error occurred (usually overnight).
- If resetting doesn’t work or if the errors keep happening, then you may need to take your device in for repair (or buy a new one). We hope this article has helped!
